About the resort
Morzine, Avoriaz & Les Gets are part of the Portes du Soleil one of the biggest players in the world of skiing for the last 50 years, just an hour drive from Geneva. The Portes du Soleil enjoys exceptionally good snowfall from mid-November to the end of April, with an average of 7m83 of powder every year.
Avoriaz offers a snowy world in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. Instead of cars, the pedestrianised resort has horse-drawn sleds. The quality and the range of the ski area is enough to impress the whole family.
Morzine is well connected with Les Gets and offers great facilities for beginners but also for more advanced skiers with the Pointe de Nyon. There is also a direct link to Avoriaz from the centre of Morzine.
Les Gets is an accredited “Famille Plus Montagne” resort, where children are treated like kings! And thanks to its excellent location, access to the slopes in the Portes du Soleil is easy.
How to arrive from Geneva
1.5h (80km) away from the airport
Morzine is only 1.5h drive away from Geneva Airport. There are several shuttle services operating in the area which will bring you to the resort starting from 30EUR per person. We usually work with Alpybus but there are other services like Snow-Drops, PowderCap, and Skiidy Gonzales. It’s an easy and convenient way of travelling to the resort – directly to your accommodation. We recommend to take advantage of this service not only for passengers traveling by plane but also for everybody who is staying in Geneva and wants to go for a short ski trip in the area.
